RQ3: How to overcome Unemployment among Undergraduates?

  1. Undergraduate must not be choosy in picking up for a job.
  2. Undergraduate must be proficient in English as company gives priority in it.
  3. Undergraduate must be prepared when going for an interview.
  4.  Undergraduate must be confident when attending an interview as this gives a good impression to the interviewer.

  1. Respond to your reasons:

    1. They can be choosy given that they have the quality to be and demand a better position and pay if they are indeed capable. They shouldn't simply settle for any odd job as well, like being a part timer, because that wouldn't look good on their resume as it isn't a stable job. Perhaps it is best they look for jobs at government sectors 1st since it's much more easier to apply than private sectors. The job load is also not that much compared to private sectors.

    2. This is really crucial, as I've mentioned in the other comment. Companies like Accenture simply call you to test if you can speak English, only then will they even consider meeting you in person and carry on from there. Hence, you have to improvise in speaking and writing in English no matter what.

    3. Preparation is important as 1st impression matters a lot. Even the way you dress up should be taken note. As far as non-verbal communication are concerned, dressing code determines how the employer look at the person that applied for the job. You have to give them a suitable impression that is appropriate to the job that you're applying for.

    4. Confidence is a must and we can be more confidence by practicing beforehand and believe that you are the kind of employee the company needs.

  2. I agree with your points especially on the preparation before attending an interview. I think it is vital to do an early preparation so that the undergraduates will be able to answer to the interviewer questions. When they can answer the questions correctly, this will show that they know more about the company or a firm background and objectives.
